What Angie collects when you get in touch, why she needs it, how long she keeps it and how to get it removed.
Who is responsible
Gade Valley Dog Walking is run by Angie in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. She decides what happens to the information you send and is responsible for looking after it. You can reach her on 07938 166068 or at info@gadevalleydogwalking.co.uk.
What is collected, and why
Nothing is collected unless you choose to send it. There are two forms on this site.
The quick contact form asks for your name, your phone number and a short message about your dog. That is the minimum needed to ring you back.
The full enquiry form asks for more: your name, phone, email, street, town and postcode, and details about your dog including name, breed, age, sex, how many dogs you have, recall, how they are around people and other dogs, and anything else you want to add. Angie needs the address to work out whether you are in the area and to collect your dog. She needs the behaviour answers to decide which group your dog can safely go out with, and whether a one-to-one walk suits better. If you leave a question blank she will simply ask you at the meet and greet.
Where it goes
When you send a form it is emailed to Angie, and a copy is saved so nothing is lost if an email fails or your phone drops the connection on the way to WhatsApp. That copy is held by Cloudflare, who host this website, and is deleted automatically after 90 days. Nobody else is sent your information, it is not used for advertising, and it is never sold or shared with anyone for marketing.
If you choose the WhatsApp button, your message goes to Angie through WhatsApp as well, and WhatsApp handles it under their own terms.
Once you become a client, Angie keeps your contact details, your address and your dog's details for as long as she is walking your dog, because she needs them to do the job and to reach you or your vet in an emergency. If you stop using her, tell her and she will delete them.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and does not track you. There is no advertising, no social media tracking and no profiling.
What you can ask for
You can ask Angie what she holds about you, ask her to correct it, or ask her to delete it. Just ring or email and she will sort it, normally the same week and always within a month. There is no charge.
If you are ever unhappy with how your information has been handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Photos
Angie takes photos of the dogs on walks and sends them to owners. Some are used on this website, on her Google profile and on Instagram. If you would rather your dog did not appear anywhere public, tell her and she will keep them to your messages only, or take down anything already posted.
